The fleur de lis will be removed in favor of cross. I will not go for a single cross look as that strikes me as too fanatical. (something that is not shown is that general is already featuring kite shield w large cross...I don't want it to be overwhelming) Instead it will be pattern of smaller crosses.

At this point, if you ever felt it necessary, there could be some distinction:
Byzantines: Byzantine Cross
Georgians: Flag of St. George with 4 crosses, see their faction symbol
Armenians: Armenian Orthodox Cross
I think that would be a nice, but obviously unnecessary feature.

Just a quick update. All strat map captains and generals are finished except for rajputs. All battle map islamic and pagan generals are finished, they aren't upto the standard of Strelacs superb Eastern Christian general but as I've had to produce 8 different generals, compromises had to be made. Some of my textures were used, some of Stelacs textures were used. Here are some strat map screenshots of 3 of them.
