    Default Sailable rivers and River trade routes?

    I was wondering whether you planned on adding these two features? The vikings used to sail up rivers often in order to raid further in land. It was alos how viking traders, merchants and explorers got as far as constantinople and baghdad. This brings me on to my second point, if you do add sailable rivers would it be possible to make trade routes in them, particularly in around hungary and russia. Just some thoughts anyway GL with this mod, possibly the most promising mod for M2TW, you might even be able to give us at ROX:TW a run for our money, just maybe .

    I think we've planned on doing it, but I'm no modder so I can't tell you we will manage or not.
    But it's in the works alright!

    I was thinking about this the other day... to have marine trade routes, we have to have ports. Every town on a (major) river is going to be able to have ports (hypothetically) and since the rivers will (I assume) be 1 "square" wide, having the ports in the main body of the river will mean ships can't sail down rivers without cnoquering the towns on either side. So, I thought we could have little "bays"

    Also, will we be modeling/skinning (I'm not sure what it would fall under) the green-arrow landbridges to look like normal bridges for use ont he major rivers?

    I like the bridge idea.

    Somewhy I get the feeling these rivers will prove troublesome when trying to sail them. We need to make the AI use them properly, too.

    Only certain vessels (mostly longships)should actually be able to sail on rivers!

    Whe have discussed this before. Are the transversable rivers already implemented on our map? Making green arrows to bridges should be possible, but where are whe gonna place those bridges? Just randomly?

    We're gonna have to make roads, right? Just put the bridges to connect the roads.
