its on very hard and im testing my mod out so its even harder than very hard i just had a long long war with scotland for 60 years and they were strong and it was a major full stack war i lost some good generals and kings to the scots and they bankrupted me at one point.

and i hate to think what they got.

I always get p***d off in those situations, because when the moment is right for all of them to fight to the death they just turn and rout... the cowards!

Yea those are cool moments. Do you think that there will be more bigger battles when I turn up the difficulty in RTJ- mod? I play on M/M currently, and it's being way too easy for me. I only lost like 1 battle.

I forgot to storm some lousy french besieged city with my german heir's army.

Next turn, a full army with crossbows, mailed knights, d-feudals and other nasty frenchmen attacks.

I kill every one of them. I have a good set of d-frankish knights, spearmen, swabian 2-handers, and mercenary x-bows.

Right after the battle, a similar french force attacks my same army again from nowhere!?!%&

Well, I kill every frenchman, but now Ive got about a quarter of my men quite dead.

Yet another similar french army attacks, with some other remnant forces from a nearby city, and some earlier survivors.

Now, I lost.

LOl i love those kinda battles. When I get bored with a campaign I will invade the strongest faction and take a settlement as near their center as possible, or their capitol. And then wait untill several armies besiege me! Then I get ready for one hell of a fight!

Same here.I enjoyed the movie to but come on .I'm sure Hell is crowded with all the 300 fans dining there -_-.Anyway i think all those armies are low tier units and siege engines .

Speaking of the stakes, I still haven't figured out how to use them! I played a full England campaign without ever finding out .
Somebody told me that you have to place them when youre peparing for the battle after the speach. But I never found the button :/.

Only longbowmen can place them, it should be their special ability when your in the place your troops phase.

You have to plant them before the battle so make sure you know which direction the enemy are coming from as to put them to full effect. I find they only work best against cavalry and have no effect against infantry other than an obstruction to get through (a bit like a wood). Don't forget that your own cavalry can get annihilated on them too

I used to do that when I was a NOOB to the game (Shogun) I consider it cheating and in my house you would get a punch in the face for it. You should be glad that I can not give out negative rep!!!
