    Is this mod only for viking invasion?
    Or executable only with first MTW?

    You need Viking Invasion to play.

    The only mod compatible with vanilla MTW (1.1) is Wes' MedMod.

    Seems like an old thread...

    But anyways, I have a few questions:
    1.In order to player Samurai Warlords beta 8, do I have to install VI seperate from MTW? or all in the same directory?
    2.What's vanilla?

    Great mod, but I have a few questions. Do you know how to mod the files to make the generals immortals, like vanilla. I want there will be more than 1. I want them all, except the king and heirs can die naturally.

    And another thing, is it possible to prevent the sieger to sustain casualties, only the besieged die from starvation, also like in vanilla.


    P.S. This uses Medieval engine, so there is no movies for assassins or throne room.

    Anther thing I forgot to ask. I have not gotten to far yet, but will there only be arquabus(sp?) from Portuguese? No Dutch? What artillery will be available? And no Muskets in this mod?

    I aseked myself why they donīt made a new version of Shogun? Iīve seen the old one

    Hello Scar Face,

    the direct links are in my original post and in my sig.
    However, downloading from here doesn't work atm.
    Seems to have to do with http referrers. Going to mizus.com doesn't work for me either atm. Got to have to talk to TosaInu, our admin.
    The files are still there, though.

    1. VI has to be installed in the same directory as MTW for this mod. Just like with the normal/unmodded (vanilla) game.

    No, there're no videos in MTW. It's not possible to show videos in this mod, either.

    1. No, I don't know how to achieve what you describe.
    2. Afaik, the siege party suffers casualties in vanilla, too.
    2. You will be able to build up-tech to arquebuses (1545) and muskets later in the game. There're no Dutch or Portuguese traders, though.

    Samurai Warlords 8.1 is the latest version and graphically identical to beta_8.
    We fixed a Multiplayer issue in 8.1.

    Hi, not sure if anyone is still playing this, but I increased the unit size for battles, morale, and unit defense-which makes it seem more like shogun 1. I also made the unit cost cheaper on the campaign so the AI has more of a chance against rebels and the garrison size larger for castles so sieges are longer. Ashigaru units now have a chance on the battlefield, and when trained properly they can hold the line against most units for awhile. All cavalry units can also dismount before battle. Here is links to files, make backups for the STW_SP12_unit_prod and STW_SP12_build_prod in main MTW/Samurai Worlords directory.

    Yeah no problem and thanks for the reply, I still invest many hours on this mod and keep coming back to it. It is one of the greatest MTW mods I think and deserves more spotlight. I am going to continue to add a few things to it, like making the Tokugawa clan a starting faction instead of them being Imagawa late in the game, and a few other things. Ill keep ya updated!
