I cant get ANY mods to work :(! Please help!

At first i thought it was just a problem with one mod (Road to Jerusalem) so i went and downloaded this other one called Portvcale which looked good to and i got the same problem, the problem by the way is that whenever i try to start the mod it says, "Another Program is currently using this file". M2TW was a huge let down for me and the only thing that makes it better is the kick a$$ mods...for me at least and ive been a fan of the Total Wars since Shogun when i was 7. Please help me. Hi Kaiser Joe,A bit more info needed.Have you installed 1.1 patch.Have you unpacked it.Have you created a batch file in your medieval Total War folder,Then made a shortcut of this file to desktop.regards magpie.
