Offensive Spanish

So I noticed many people are encountering the "offends the nobility" and "inspires civil war" traits. Before i ask my questions, i just want to say, I love this part of the game, but to an extent lol. So here it is:

I am playing as the Spanish, for the first 50 years i have spent reconquering Moorish Lands, and subdueing the overly aggressive excommunicated Portugeuse. However, starting with King Alfonso, every single one of my kings has inherited this trait. Even my current king, whose surname is "the Saint." I mean how can he seriously offend people lol. So is it something I am doing or is it just that the Spanish family is going through some hard times?
