I've always been annoyed, since the original MTW, that we are not given the option to name a child that has been born. So, is there a way to change the names of characters, i.e. changing them in savegame files or something? I'm looking for something easy, I don't want to end up having to change a person's name in five or six different files.

No, you cannot edit a characters name in the campaign.
