Thread: V Day

  1. #1

    Default V Day

No not a thread for me,,,

    But for VICTORY

Noone, not even an ON designated administrator can take away the rights of the TW community. Let today be a lesson to anyone who dares take away what we TW fans have created!

    Victory!

Well, if I, Belisarius, the Black Prince, and you all agree on something, I really don't think there can be any further discussion.

We haven't won anything. We only got HG sacked, with the perennial tyrant put into his place. We won when we drove off Besim, too, right?

Heh, I'll be sure to pop by in another three months, I'm sure I'll be just in time to see you celebrate your next "V-day".

Seriously, one day the people who actually keep this site up and running will grow tired of these silly little coup d'états and decide to permanently lock this place down. Can't say I'd blame them...

Yes, and the Curia's tendency to cry out "REVOLUTION!!!" every time something they don't like happens has nothing to do with it...

I think it had more to do with the demotion of all admins and most moderators, the placing of Honor and Glory as admin, the bannings of everyone who criticised him and the resignation of all the old moderators.

    Just maybe.

I love that picture. Almost bought a big blown-up version of it on a print to frame in my bedroom last month.

True indeed. We may have our 'Battle of the Bulge' won, but we are still far from Berlin.

I'm considering this more of an 'Operation Overlord' than Battle of the Bulge.

Either way, Berlin is still far over the horizon.

Thats just a prize, not the end of the war! Enough!

Oooh yay, post 3000. I was hoping it would be at a better time, saved for a better purpose.

The community triumphs over the few.

Our experiment in semi-democracy survives. Long live TWC! Our fate is in our hands, and we aren't letting go.

Which reminds me, I wrote a poem about new beginnings.

For every brilliant sunset in the sky,
to blanket earthly lands in heavn'ly glow
For every cloud not hiding solar eye,
The shades that cover lands begin to grow.

Once light is gone naught but darkness remains,
Only the dust of welkin to be lit.
Nothing to show for all of one's hard pains,
Not visible but command to submit.

And when hardships are borne and fears are faced
And terrors of the night do soar away
The exodus of light is soon replaced
By inundation of the gleaming ray.

And lands once cursed to evil now delight
To bathe in eastern blood of rising globe
And now the weak and weary rise to fight
Protected by a golden godly robe.

And yet that garment will be stripped again,
And nightmares come with monsters of the mind,
But equally will dreams fearless campaign,
For dreamers are the masters of mankind.
    Dream away, TWC.
