Flags fly at half mast, women weep in the streets, men shake their heads in shock, and everybody prepares for a solemn, quiet ceremony. A procession of Royal Guards escort Lord Asterix to the Temple of Siblesz. There, he made a final sacrifice to the all powerful. Then, with a tear in his eye replaced his purple toga for one with a dark blue border. A new portait was hung in the Hall of Senators. And so ended Lord Asterix, another reminder of the Imperial Period and the following occupation by ON. It is rumoured that he gave a small speach to the assembled citizens in Curia Square, but no reporters were allowed in for security reasons."

*The camera pans and viewers watch a flag of the Kingdom wave at half mast as the last chords play..."

Thanks for all your kind words... I resigned partly because I am certain that between IMB and the current staff things are as near perfect as can be.... I want to see some fun brought back to the Curia and hope that it will rediscover its former entertainment level... TWC must live on.. and I dont think we need radical changes for that to happen optimally...

What really happened
Imb39: You fight with the strength of many men, sir knight.
(Asterix does not respond)
Imb39: I am Imb39, King of the Britons.
(no response)
Imb39: I seek the finest and the bravest knights in the land to join me at my court at Camelot.
(no response)
Imb39:You have proved yourself worthy. Will you join me?
(no response)
Imb39: You make me sad. So be it! Come, Patsy!
(As Imb39 and Patsy start to ride past Asterix, he suddenly speaks)

Asterix: NONE SHALL PASS.
Imb39: (taken aback) What?
Asterix: NONE SHALL PASS.
Imb39: I have no quarrel with you, good sir knight, but I must cross this bridge.
Asterix: THEN YOU SHALL DIE.
Imb39: I *command* you, as king of the Britons, to stand aside.
Asterix: I MOVE FOR NO MAN.
Imb39: So be it!
(draws sword)

A short battle ensues, where Imb39, relatively unencumbered by armor, easily dodges the slow and heavy strikes by Asterix. Finally, Imb39 dodges a strike, steps aside, and cuts Asterix's left arm off with his sword. Blood spurts from the knight's open shoulder.

Imb39: Now stand aside, worthy adversary.
Asterix: 'Tis but a scratch.
Imb39: A SCRATCH? Your arm's off!
Asterix: No it isn't!
Imb39: Well what's that then?
(pointing to the arm lying on the ground)
Asterix: I've had worse.
Imb39: You LIAR!
Asterix: Come on, you pansy!

There follows an even shorter foray, at the end of which Imb39 easily cuts off the Asterix's right arm, causing it and Asterix's sword todrop to the ground. Blood spatters freely from the stump.

Imb39: Victory is mine! (kneeling, praying) We thank thee Lord, that in thy mercy--
(He is kicked onto his side by Asterix.)

Asterix: Come on, then!
(kicks Imb39 again)
Imb39: (on the ground) What?!?
Asterix: (kicking him again) Have at you!
Imb39: (getting up) You are indeed brave, sir knight, but the fight is mine!
Asterix: Ohhh, had enough, eh?
Imb39: Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left!
Asterix: Yes I have!
Imb39: LOOK!!!
Asterix: Just a flesh wound! (kicking Imb39 again)
Imb39: Look, STOP that!
Asterix: Chicken!!! Chicken!!!!!!!
Imb39: Look, I'll have your leg!
(Asterix continues his kicking)
Imb39: RIGHT!
(He chops off the Asterix's leg with his sword)
Asterix: (hopping) Right! I'll do you for that!
Imb39: You'll *WHAT*?Asterix: Come 'ere!
Imb39: (tiring of this) What're you going to do, bleed on me?
Asterix: I'm *INVINCIBLE*!!!
Imb39: You're a looney....
Asterix: Asterix ALWAYS TRIUMPHS! Have at you!!!
(hopping around, trying to kick imb39 with his one remaining leg)
Imb39 shrugs his shoulders and, with a mighty swing, removes Asterix's last limb. Asterix falls to the ground. He looks about,realizing he can't move. Asterix: Okay, we'll call it a draw.
Imb39:Come, Pasty! (they "ride" away)
Asterix: (calling after them) Oh! Had enough, eh? Come back and take what's coming to you, you yellow bastards!! Come back here and take what's coming to you! I'll bite your legs off!

I am simply delighted that so many good people are still here after my 1.5 years on staff.... I have been the longest serving staff member whether that is good or not I let Siblesz judge *shudders after pronouncing the name*
