Just wondering but are you using vanilla mongols? If you are can you maybe make some new ones cause the vanilla mongols are historically incorrect mostly because they were pretty much all heavily armored in vanilla and most the mongols wore robes and light armor and only the elites usually had any sort of heavy armor.
No, we are not using vanilla Mongols.
we always make the same mistake regarding the mongol army - this isnt the hunnic invasion of the dark ages
the army of Genghis Khan khan may have been simple and armor was rare during his first battles, but this has changed dramatically after the conquest of china.
during the conquest of the world they managed to acquire newer forms of armor, weapons and tactics.
most of the soldiers who served in the mongol army were actually Turks and Chinese.
many commanders even managed to get masked and winged helmets

Are they going to remain the same? Not sure I like the idea of the mongols all being heavily armoured super-soldiers
well, you cant conquer an empire as large as this with an army of light skirmishers and peasant nomads alone!
Don't forget, that you already command the entire Chinese imperial forces
And that, is why, they were so unstoppable !
(P.S. I know this map is a bit exaggerated, LOL !)
