Great pic. Wondering about the salute though.

Turkic. I don't speak any, but I know a guy who speaks a little, and the linguistic undercurrent is NOT Mongolian or Mongol-derived, and usable as lingua franca across the western steppes.
Cool.

Oh, side note: IF you can get the models to work, these guys (Kypcaq/Cumans) were known for the interchangeable use of lance and bow. While auxiliary horse archers might be standoff fighters, similar to Turcomans, the mainline Cuman army expected to mix it up at all ranges.
(I have an article on this hopefully coming out next year, it's pre-publication, but if I can get a privacy promise, I'll email to any of your mod guys.)
That's a bit like asking a drunkard if he wants a drink, if you catch my drift.

I have one request for these guys... names. These are the last remaining faction without names properly implemented. Largely because I have no clue. Any ideas?
Purely Turkish (No Muslim influence) names?
Not Turkish, Turk-IC. Ghuzz, Tatar, Cuman, Volga Bulgar, any of those -- the steppes are fluid. But not Seljuk-type.
Would you know of any good sources?
From Khazaria.com, it shouldn't be that much of a leap to use some for the Kypchak, well maybe not the hebrew ones.

Ahhh, very smart man. Khazar were themselves a turkic peoples so names should be a good approxiamation.
Thanks Pope!
No problem, anything I can do to help, I will; unless it's too hard, I am kinda lazy .
There were actually a few speakers hanging around about fifty years ago (including a promising young scholar who sadly died, who showed up at a medieval department unable to speak a word of latin, but who somehow actually spoke Avar (which is still hanging on, barely, in Russia) and Cuman, but yeah, it's pretty much gone.
The Khazaria list isn't bad... but the Hebrew names shouldn't be used, or else should be used VERY sparingly. The Khazar kaganate was wiped out, and the rulers' stratum which used those names either disappeared or else was assimilated elsewhere.
I would suggest using a better list of names, with context noted, *here.*
The thing about the Kypchaks is that you guys are using them to represent the dozen or so assimilated steppe cultures, so you could have a few slavic names, a few russian, turkic, georgian, magyar, etc.
Bingo! Got it in one. That's why I suggested the list that I did. Check it out -- you'll see it does exactly what you've suggested, with labels, so you can pick, choose, and throw out the stuff you don't like (e.g., no Bathory's for the kipcaq!)
