FACTION: The Khwarezm Shah

Facing the Mongols with Khwarezmia is going to be a huge challenge and one that I am looking forward to.

Here are the Tajik swordsmen in-game.

Finally the Tajiks will do battle.

These are light swordsmen, don't expect them to fell a hospitaller knight or heavy daylami.. but they will be good for shredding up some levies or fighting off the afghan hillmen.

And since we're on the topic, one of the really most excting parts of the Khwarezm will be the mongol invasion. Thats when the real fun begins. The mongols will take your homecities of the silkroad from you quickly. This will force the Khwarezm to "flee" to india (as they tried historically) or restablish themselves in southern Iran or near Georgia. It will be fun experience.

Persian archers, Khwarezm's tier 3 range unit. Tier 2 will be Qarakhanid bowman, tier 4 will be dismounted heavy Khorasani archers.

Nice. Perhaps one of the archer units can get stakes ability, to be able to counter the mongols. Maybe the last heaviest archer.


EDIT: The historicity of the above is unknown. Just an idea.
