hmm, might be better if we (or rather Sim !) compare what is happening on other Wiki pages rather than pick on the Org link (to avoid looking partial and to save me getting shot), I did have browse around last night - and forgot to save links: some were:

Well, it seems rather a lot of influential admins support no links to fansites, but that fans add them more rapidly than anyone notices them to remove them. I think it's reasonable to have links to fansites, since they're frequently useful resources, but then I'm biased. Unfortunately, it's kind of inappropriate for any of us to add or remove external links in Total War articles.
