    any know how correct delete nation aztecks from original map from original game mediebal 2 ???

    You can remove them by marking as dead until resurrected in descr_strat

    Or remove them completely from descr_strat file and replacing them with a another faction in descr_regions.txt.

    You should also have a look at the campaign script and remove the entries there and the events file (these had triggers for unfreezing the Aztec's once someone spots them if I recall correctly).

    Just PM'd you. Sorry I was doing some graphic mods myself.

    Essentially there isn't really any conversion of the actual map. MTW2 really only has the map_fog.tga in the map base directory as extra. The rest is the same as for RTW (but without some of the restrictions).

    Main issue is tied to re-aligning region names and faction types across all the files. eg taking just the RTW files will mean some of the info in descr_regions needs to be aligned (hidden resources, default faction and the rebel info) and then in the campaign itself any events, mercenary recruitment, strat file, win conditions, campaign script needs to be realigned.

    i need help
    i have very strange problem with map magnus mundus


    map(campaign) loading ok , also i can see loadin film on start new campaign

    but when campaign open(after loading) - game out in windows/

    i heave 4 nations
    4 provinces on map

    very strange bug - but i think this is not my bug
    i check again and again - i don't heave any bugs in txt files(also in tga files too)

    any can help ??????

    Can you just send me the map_regions and map_features file you are using?

    Actually just checking but have you updated the mercenaries file to make sure only the 4 regions you have are in it and the win conditions?

    just got home from work. If the RWM is creating each time then judging by the map regions your issue is because of the one massive region you have. Try expanding the other 3 regions for now to make them bigger or add a couple more regions on.

    I'll try a test with it as soon as I can but suspect that's the problem..

    You've bigger problems than I thought. Not sure if you've other files involved but basically as soon as I started this up I got the same crash point.

    I checked the logs and at least to begin with I got some error messages.

    First in the descr _regions you have a region(dijon) with creator referencing France but France isn't one of the 4 factions you have.

    Then in descr_strat things are quite messy.
    You again refer to Dijon with France as a faction creator but not one of your factions

    you also have the rebels with sub faction England - can't remember if that also needs to be a faction in the game but I think it does.

    None of the leaders have any traits - particularly as factionleader or any family tree.

    The papal states didn't have the Iampope trait.

    I've fiddled around with these but still haven't got past the point of creating the RWM. I suspect its more issues tied off of the descr_strat file tied to characters at the moment but with instant CTD's I'm guessing a bit as I am now getting no errors.

    I plan to just re-add in some full faction info to check its not the map at all but that will probably have to wait until tomorrow.

    Note I saw you set the descr_start file to 1280-1330 which is the time period I was using for my mod (though mine is just resticted to Britain).

    Sorry forgot - there was an issue with the map in that Dijon was positioned in a Forest so had to be moved one pixel to the left.

    Glad you got it up and working that regions thing is normally what catches people out.

    Not sure why you didn't get the other errors I got as soon as I loaded it up unless they weren't causing the crashes (but check the log files anyway). I assume you are getting the rebels victorious message because of the lack of faction leaders etc.
