How can i get the vanilla animations back?
just recently figured out that using the 2 handed fix will cause online matches to desync when a 2 handed unit begins to fight, since the other player wont have the fis, the death rate is different. so, i got the vanilla animations from a friend, and extracted them into the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data folder, as well as the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\animations folder. i then ran some custom battle tests, pitting dismounted english knights against templars, with me controlling the infantry, and having the comp set on defense. i won every time, as if the bug fix was still in. so how can i properly go back to having the vanilla animations, so that i can play online?

If you extracted the animation files to your animations folder and it was overwritten then you should be able to get the vanilla animations ingame.
Maybe you should delete the bugfix animations and place the original back in, could be worth a shot.
