    If you're asking me about what to use for Ghulam Cavalry then I guess you could use the mamluks as a basis for that new skin.

    You can make the first ug1 and ug2 Ghulams different time of armour for the rider I guess.

    This mod, Chivalry Total War for RTW, has unit skins and a lot of info for Armenian Cilicia. If you need any assisstance in including Armenian Cilicia, about history and stuff, just PM me with your questions.

    Yeah we will definitely need help for Armenia. We've already got off on a good start on Georgia and Armenian Cilicia is the next Christian faction that will be one of the main aggresive Christian states in this game. Any help, historical or skins, is appreciated and all due credit will be given obviously.

    Orthodox Greeks not christians? I guess that's kind of like saying Sunnis aren't muslims, isn't it? Or that the Russian Orthodox faith isn't a christian faith? Or that the Eastern Orthodox church isn't christian? I guess you're right. The Templar Knights, who were Christians, answered to the Patriarch or Jerusalem who wasn't christian. Yes, you're definitely right.

    They are christian. He's keeping them under one religion to downplay inter-christian conflicts and focus on them attacking the Muslims.

    Yeah, no Christian subdivisions.

    Religions: Islam, Christianity, Paganism and Heresy


    Does anyone know if we can tweak with heresy and religion conversion rates? I want conversion to be MUCH harder in this game. If possible I want India to be pagan and immpossible to convert permanently.

    Basically if there was a way to code certain provinces to have a 'default' religion composition which it always tries to go back to then that would be perfect.

    The forum seems to be back up now so here's a quick preview of some Georgian Eristav's heavy cavalry:



    The unit has been reskinned with scale armour instead of mail, some new shields have been painted and the mount has been modified a lot to include scale armour on the neck.

    A group shot.



    And the new unit icons.



    Also I'm still waiting to hear which model would be best for the swordsmen?

    for next: for unit - Monaspa (royal guard cavalry) should be use "Kataraphacts" or "Tsars Guard" models. but in reality Monsapa used also bows, they were universal units (spear+sword+bow).

    Thanks for the references.

    The Cossak musketeer model could be used for the late version Khevsurs warriors. For the early/high period Khevsurs warriors, swordsmen militia are the obvious option.

    The Monaspa will unfortunately need to be split into 2 seperate units, a horse archer unit (using the dvor model) and lance/melee unit (using the druzhina model mainly because it has the same shield and helmet). Unless there's a combination archer/lancer unit in the game?

    Here it is, it will be for ug0 (you didn't mentioned, but I've decided, because that unit using same skins for ug1 and ug2, that are three skins, and I have to do something with two other skins, so I've made them for ug0)

    Those cavalry are awesome Phoenix but have you thought about creating a few more different textures for that unit so as to not have the 'clone' armies. Nonetheless this mod is looking v.good so far.

    Awsome work AlphaDelta! They are looking absolutely awsome. You've even got new unit cards, sweet. I have an idea for the swordsmen. Perhaps you can make them a two-handed unit. Use the "TABARDARIYYA" model and skins as a basic, just give them a sword. Is that possible?
    And when you're done the Georgians could you also take charge of units for Armenia?

    The Ghulams are looking very very nice. I see you've got the helmet down pat and the leather vests are varied too. Sweet. I'm planning on having many "ghulam" type units. So if its not too much, you can vary them around a bit and have a few styles which we can use in the game as different units (ie Turkic Ghulams, Persian Ghulams, Indian Ghulams and one or two merc Ghulams etc). Remember to change the saddle to some sort of persian rug texture, really important as the it was the very unique thing about Muslim light cav, plus it'll make them look nicer.


    Overall I'm really happy that you guys are taking the initiative on this, its moving faster than expected. Georgia's almost done.
