this looks like it will be a great mod for the middle east and I think you've got the map size just right (Bigmap was TOO big for my liking ) I just hope it doesn't die like so many other good mods...
those are really great shields
one must definitly have to use it especialy
those which are more bigger.
right one is very impressive
cool pics find more
here are some european shields
http://www.a2armory.com/medshiel.html
very impressive are those used by knights of Templars
have good luck
Alphadelta,
You've really outdone yourself. The Georgian skins are looking awsome! And remember: if you have to choose quality over history - choose quality. If the symbols are ahistorical, we can tolerate it - this is not a 100% historical mod so give yourself plenty of creative freedom.
At the same time try not to over color them and it would nice if the color contrast was toned down. We still want the units to be realistic and believable.
But I'm really happy with your stuff and Phoenix[Illusion] has joined the team. He's a pretty amazing skinner who can make stuff from scratch (just pictures) and you two together will make our skinning department move along very smoothly
Thanks!
Thanks for your interest Ketchup.
I've already done way too much stuff for the map for this mod to fail. The only thing is not IF but WHEN.
The campaign map is almost done (rivers and provinces left) and we've already got two awsome skinners as you can see above. Hopefully by the start of summer we will have an amazing team and we will shred through this mod and finish it no time!

NOW! J/k. Anytime you want.
Can I get you to do some stuff for some new persian/muslim units? Basically this mod will have a variety of muslim cavalry and many types of horse archers - as faction and mercenary units. One of the units will be the "Ghulam cavalry" - they are the basic medium cav unit of the Khwarezm and Ghazni factions. They are similar to what the "Arab cavalry" of the east. Basically a decorated and unarmoured horse with a armoured rider with mace and lance.
I will PM you some illustrations in a second.
yes i agree with u he did good job
he is coolest skinner
of course he is not able to do it 100% historicaly accurate
but
he is doing it even quite well so don't blame
much respect to all here
especially to you AlphaDelta
I can get a bunch of Mongol pictures if you'd like mirage.
Best I can do anyways, I have no model/skinning experience.
Some pics of Ghulam amd similar cavalry
(The guy on the left)
(the horseman on the right)
(the top horseman)
(the left horseman)
I'm hoping for a variety of ghulam (two to four). Some for factions some as mercs. You can use a variety of Persian rug textures and tiles as a subsitutue for the horses saddle, mounts and horse decorations. For example: http://lemog.free.fr/lemog_v5/thumbnails.php?album=24
Plenty of site here:

Post em up or link em! We will not only add variety and color to the mongols but have many mongol-like horse mercs to the north in central asia.I can get a bunch of Mongol pictures if you'd like mirage.

Alright, just give me a bit. Gotta compile & upload em.
Btw, the Mongol armies had alot of auxilaries in their army. It'd be interesting if you could add some Korean Auxilaries (I have a picture of what they look like). They can be made from a mix of Mongol Light Archers and the Mongol Infantry I'm thinking.
Anyways, off to work on those images.
Okay, thanks alot for all your help and support guys. I'm taking the next few days off this stuff as the map is almost done.
I will have new map preview up next weekend of ALL the regions complete with cities and rivers and proper farmlands and also a new provincial map pic detailing the regions and cities on the map and their names. I will give you all a chance to input what more cities you would like to see on it.
But thats for next week. I have 3 midterms coming up and I need to focus.
Good luck!
EDIT - All Mongol pictures will go to the illustrations thread soon enough
