CTD with Egyptians

I have this little problem. Every time I try to play a campaign or custom battle with or against the egyptians, the game ctd while loading. The error message just says "Medieval Total War have experienced an unknown error" or something like that.

Have any of you experienced the same problem?

I am playing RTJ 2.2 and have also installed the 2.21 patc. My medieval total 2 is 1.1

yes, the problem is known.
unfortunatly there are crashes from 1240-1270 mostly. mongol invasion doesnt happen. working on a solution
