descr_sounds_music.txt
Hey all, any help on this will be much appreciated. It appears to me that this file ONLY includes campaign or battle music. How do you go about swapping title music (startup screen)?
I've looked but I don't see it... only campaign or battle areas.
event Prologue_Campaign_Battle_Music fadeout 3
folder data/sounds/music
CampaignBattle1-Time_2_Kill.mp3
end
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; ROMAN MUSIC ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
;;; FRONTEND
culture roman
state MUSIC_FRONTEND
event
folder data/sounds/music
Frontend1-Rome_Total_War.mp3
Frontend2-Rome_HQ.mp3
end
Anyone know?
_____________
While I am at it asking for help, can anyone tell me if I do replace these files a rumor has been told that the game only accepts files that are certain lengths, or will cut them off prematurely and start the new song? Is this true? If so how do I get around this? Do these commands have anything to do with 'how' the song is played? I found them in the main desc_sounds.txt
; event { name } {3d/1d} {streamed} { probability } { volume }
; { minDist } { maxDist } { minPitch } { maxPitch }
; { looped } {randomdelay} { probradius } { pan }
; { pref sfx|speech|music }
; folder { base path }
; {sample name} modifiers (any of probability, volume etc)
; {sample name} ...
; end
;

Re: descr_sounds_music.txt
If you mean the game intro music, it's in bedded in the movie. so you can't change that unless you change the film as well. if you mean the music that plays while viewing the 'options/start campaign' music then it's the front end and HQ themes.
It only cuts off (fades out) if an event happens ie; in battle if your enemy comes close to you, or in campaign if you hit end turn or attack, i found that it is more noticeable if your replacement themes are very different from each other, but, 'meh' try it out.
Moved to the workshop.
