Wulfburk, any plans to unify South America under one banner?
Both Chile and Argentina were in my sphere from the moment i became a GP to 1936, i didnt bothered attacking them cause Argentina just has too many states and i coudnt take the infamy hit...
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

Hi. I am new here. I had created new topic instead of posting here, but now i know the place....

Anyway... I am playing with Austrian Empire.

I started to play from year 1500. It's a shame that i don't have any screenshots from the beginning, but i can say, that my biggest rivals were Bohemia,Hungary (in that time - vassal of Bohemia), few others small countries, and France... We had 4 big wars. And they started all of them. first 2 ended with white peace, i was lucky to defend. But next two wars i already had a lot of vassals (bigger of them - Swiss, Prussia, Kurland, Crimea) and i won those wars, and even made France to release Burgundy,Normandy as sovereign states. After that we became allies with France. And we are until 1710 (now). Now they became too strong as you will see in screenshots.
so... Year 1631. France is finishing Castille, Ottomans has reached biggest territory in the history of this game...but not for long... btw, i have been Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire since i started and I had some reforms, that i would remain like this forever )

Year 1651. The time has come for war against Ottomans. They have very big territory, so i had some time to occupie northern part of the empire with help of my vassals

Result of the war - free Serbia - my new allies.. but not for long unfortunately. I could not vassalize them because of different type of government..

Year 1660. Castille is kicked out of the Europe (just Gibraltar left, but it will be occupied by Norway soon), they moved their capital to North America.)

After one more with the Ottomans i set free Bulgaria,Bosnia and Croatia. Just wanted to get rid off Ottomans in Balkans region...

Big time jump... year - 1710. Aragon is almost out of Europe also.. Lithuania is expanding into the west (good feeling for me as for lithuanian And after another war with Ottomans they released Byzantium and Moldavia as sovereign states

my north american colonies. Castille and Venice moved from Europe to North America. Not by their wish, but **** happens

    religious map

My Holy Roman Empire.. soon i will make all members of the Empire as mine vassals

    Diplomatic map.

    Technology map..

1747. Annexed Bavaria and added more vassals

    my lands in Sibir

    and Africa

    that's it...sorry for long post

Looks very nice, Dominus. You might do well to let the infamy cool down a bit.

actually infamy was my biggest problem almost all the game..especially when it was yearly negative because of unlawful imperial territories and colonian expansion.. but i learned how to solve this problem.. best expansion when game offers you to get core on some neighbors provinces, and then i don't get any instant infamy nor yearly. And of course embassies , national idea - cabinet (- 1 infamy / year). Biggest mistake which i did in my previous games with Spain and Burgundy was annexing countries non stop.. and infamy was so big that i was crushed by everyone around me. and now i vassalize countries, and after some time i can annex them without war... i just counted and ... i have 38 allies of course majority of them are very small countries (and a lot of them will be peacfully annexed in 50-100 years) and majority of my allies are my vassals, but some of non vassals allies are countries like Aztec (set them free from Castille), Iraq, Pskov, some african nations.. so allies in all continents

Belíssimo jogo! (presumo que você seja brasileiro?) As a Brazilian myself, i'm kinda proud of those achievments. It's easily the most interesting country to play in Latin America (imho), and the PDMod and New Nations Mod add interesting decisions, it really adds a new flavor for Brazil, if you want to try this nation again in the future (ex: começar o jogo em 1836 tem o Brasil em guerra com o Rio Grande do Sul, a Guerra dos Farrapos).

Just a question: what was the light blue country that colonized southwestern Africa? Is that Greece, due to that decision "Berlin Conference"?

Por sinal, segui os links embaixo e me inspirei a ler o seu AAR do Hearts of Iron3, muito legal!

Convert of my CK2 Brunswick mega campaign. Aside from some oddies; Wurttemberg in Norway and some nation in Scotland (rebelling dukes), crimean tribe in Spain, Ottoman empire in Europe.. the conversion went smooth for the most post, in my opinion.

Genoa lost it's privileges as an republic and forcibly became an vassal of the kaiser since god-knows-when. Thus, they could not build up a empire of their own.

Venice decided to reconstruct the Domini di Terraferma instead of the Stato de Mar empire. From my knowledge, they showed little interest outside their Adriatic comfort zone.

Pisa was the only one to go merrily adventuring throughout the game. Out of the bunch, the Pisans showed keen interest in Africa by first conquering the Tripolian sultan, lasting somewhere from 1140s' to the early 1190s'. Later on, when the Holy Roman domain of Jerusalem fell, they were quick to reclaim the holy land solely for themselves (twice IIRC). I found that ironic because some decades earlier Pisa had a Lollard doge who lost Sicily from a Christian crusade, which they regained back no less.

Fun fact, Sweden became a merchant republic as well.

update of mine Austrian Empire game...

1793. Finally annexed Salzburg! Got Mazovia and few Cologian provinces

Reformats are almost gone from Europe ..

Diplomatic map. I have over 40 allies. when they join me in the war, i have to hold enter for 5-6 seconds to close all military alliances windows

New countries in South America..Portugal, France, Castille lost more than a half of their provinces. And my lands under Peru

Ming doesn't even think about stopping expanding

USA and Canada declared independence from Britain.. but i stopped them from getting bigger and becoming potential threat to my american colonies..

It seems to me that by the next century, the Ming will come knocking at your door. And with their insane manpower, just like it's successor-counterpart in Vicky2, they will bring an unending line of stacks after stacks.

To take on the Ming, I believe you will need to face them off at sea near Japan, land some large stacks for distraction and hope that they'll be busy with them while your main armies march on from Europe to gain warscore. Take everything to the border of Tibet and they'll most likely surrender if not agree for white peace.

Also, keep a check on the French. I believe their ambition is growing too much, although they can help you greatly against the Ming.

The Romans; the Timmies are already losing steam in the north.

...But then again it's debatable. They took some province in Italy.

Nomads in CK2 are very powerful. But as soon as you switch it to EU3, they retain power for maybe one century, and then start losing badly. By start of 1500s, they are roflstomped by everyone around.

Given the fact that theres no tech gap between the East*lower and West tech (unless otherwise specifically modded), it's not a surprise that they would lose the initial advantage more quicker than they normally would in a non-converted game.

edit, I realized I didn't share the culture-religion maps. So here have some (.bmp ahoy).

    7 years into the game
    A) The Hundred Years' war happened, some northern territory was reclaimed and France rules supreme in Paris after a absence of more than 200 years.
    B) The Thirty Years' War began with the serene Swedish republic aiming to beat the Scottish queen ruling in Denmark into submission. Eventually the conflict dragged her German kinsmen into the fray (aka Bavaria & I).

Well I didn't think about the war with Ming yet, because I have regular wars with Great Britain in North America, also had with Castille, but they got beaten by Venice and then i finished them and vassalized! GB annexed Canada, but after usual war with them I made Canada free and my ally again. Ottomans have golden ages again, they occupied all Byzantium , Bulgaria, third of Lithuania and they are not stopping..

About France... They are my allies about 300 years.. but they are leading allies. I always have to help them in the war, but they are not so open to help me.. but I don't want to have 2 threats - GB and France. so i better live with France like #2 in Europe.. And we will fight with Ming together. And + my others 40 allies while half of them are vassals.
