Currently preparing to invade Austria. They have a larger army than me (210.000 vs 162.000), but they also are more spread out with colonies and a few chunks in Asia. I have a larger navy so will be able to stop troop transport fairly well.

I am allied with Ukraine and Iraq.

I created Ukraine (same dynasty) as a buffer state against Europe, they can finally field a half decent enough army to support my efforts against Austria and Georgia/Bohemia.

I did the same with Iraq; I vassalized them initially when I pummeled them in a war. I later set them free but we are still allied and now they are quickly expanding into Persia. They are also very helpful against Austrian Middle-Eastern armies.

Not really nhy, that's what you get when Byzantium/Ukraine and Sweden beat the crap out of the GH. They managed to get the scraps. They are also leading a PU with Bohemia

Sweden has overstretched itself and is falling apart. Same for GB. I have a also allied with Castille to try and halt the French advance.

It reminds me of how Golden Horde became based entirely in France and lost all of their Asian territories to Novgorod, during one of my games. It was a French Khanate, and it was constantly attacked by HRE states and Spain until they all paid tribute.

In CK2, if a faction moves out of it's realistic de-jure area, it simply gets usurped and disintegrates.

My kingdom of Italy in 1848, formed when playing as Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. It was a scramble, but my illiterate mass of soldiers came to good use against Austria. After defeating them, I became a great power and influenced the other Italian states out of France. Then France declared war on me but I defeated them and took all their spheres, and humiliated and disarmed them. This gave me 30 infamy, so now I am using my growing mass of illiterate peasant soldiers to hold of containment wars by Russia and Britain and (occasionally) the Ottomans.

Another thing that pisses me off about Vic2 is this. You form ITA with Two Sicilies and ITA has the Savoy COA? BS

Did they change that decision or change something in AHD, or did you mod it? I remember when I did it in vanilla I had to wipe the Ottomans out entirely to take their capital.
