How to change the menu/unit card design?

As the title says, I wanted to mod the menu of the strategy and battle map.
Also I wanted to change the unit cards on the battle map...
I searched all my unpacked files, but I couldn't find the pictures or text files for this...
Does anyone know where I can find them?

unpack with unpacker, than go to
example:
C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\data\menu

Also check the data\ui folder

I've checked every file of both folders, but I just don't find the ones I am looking for.... :hmmm:
Perhaps the thread title is a bit inappropriate, because I am looking mainly for the dark grey unit cards on the battlemap. I've also searched the descr_ui_colour_db.txt file to give the cards another color, but there are no values for the normal unit cards on the battlemap...

Any ideas?

the file you are looking for actually is in the ui folder - you just didnt see it i suppose.

Its in data\ui\southern_european\interface. one of the files there.

Ohh no!
It would have been to be good to be true...
Now I edited the unit cards and the backgrounds and I also see my changes on the battle map.
But therefore some things are missing (for example radar map) and other textures are waaay too big (for example city names on strategic map) even if I havn't edited them...

Btw, I used Photo Impact to change the color for the unit cards...

Can anyone help??
