Messed up file

Hi, could someone post up a vanilla FactionIntroSubTitles.txt.strings.bin?

I wanted to try the mod out, and this file was overwrited WITHOUT WARNING, so that now my game is permanently damaged and battles crash right as soon as the battle completes loading and the general is about to make a speech.


Edit: Nevermind, the game rebuilds it from the text file, thank god. But my M2TW still won't start up. So now I have to hunt down through every descr_sounds* file to figure out what didn't work. Again all of this was overwritten without any warning, or backup.

Xenophonia does not overwrite any of the vanilla files. It creates some new files, but in order to do this it needs you to manually move the original ones and back them up, which you are clearly instructed to do during the installation. Uninstalling the mod is also very easy.

If you already had a folder named data\text and if that folder already contained a file named FactionIntroSubTitles.txt.strings.bin, you must have had another mod installed already. Run the game using m2tw.exe instead of the xenophonia launcher bat and the game will not even use the files in data\text...

Also, the subtitle patch extractor asks you whether you want to extract and overwrite all files or if you want to it to tell you and ask you every time it's about to overwrite a file... even though that might need some clarification.
