Anyone else having trouble loading cas files?

Hello, first I'll say that this isn't the first time that I have loaded cas files in 3dsmax and did a little editing and rendering. I used to do this off and on during RTW's aeon. Now that I have returned to RTW modding, I have tried to load cas files in 3dsmax and get errors. Something about unrecognized meshes or skeletons or some jargan I know nothing about. Yes I'm using the cas script!

Is RTW so old that 3dsmax can't load the cas files anymore? Or am I forgetting one small thing?

It seems that RTW is too old for newer version of 3dsmax. I had to dig up my old computer from storage so I could use my ancient copy of 3dsmax 8. And it runs great.
