Firstly, let me tell ya guys that I haven't had BI installed in ages but I'll tell ya straight up that this mod has made it all the worth !!! I've been into M2TW for quite a while until I manged to bump in (and luckily as well) to this awrsome totally big time conversion of BI !!! Truly an artwork !!!

btw... was just wondering ... is there anyway to check that the critical patch v1.6, which when downloaded is instead v1.7 following the given download link, is installed? Coz, at the mo I have the latest and absolutely kool FA v1.9 but I'm not sure if I've installed or not v1.7... sorry if question sounds weird and makes my memory questionable but just to double check before trying out the campaign

hmmm i dont know what it is about Mtw2 but it just wasnt as enjoyable to play, once youget past the varied models in each unit, i just didnt enjoy it as much as i enjoy playing Rome.

its all these fab Mods i guess.

Well, I'm playing some RTW-BI mods now because M2TW is just so dam buggy. (In particular, I'm playing RTR 6.0 platinum. I'll come back to Forth Eolas later.) Besides, I need a better video card to be able to play M2TW at 1680x1050 with all the graphics options maxed out. I'm waiting untill the nVidia 8800 GTX prices fall so I can put two of those in SLI. Maybe by that time the M2TW expansion will be out and they'll have finished patching it.

Anyways, glad to hear that Forth Eolas 2.0 is in the works.

And it's not Forth Eorlingas 2.0 (nor Forth Eolas 2.0), it's 2.0: The New Shadow. (Just like FE wasn't Corsair Invasion 1.5)

And third, why don't you just get 2 8800GTSD 320MB's?

They're quite cheap, and not that much inferior to the GTX's.

Well, if I could find another 7900 GTO, i'd get another and then run it with my existing 7900 GTO in SLI, but you try finding one. They're all gone, it seems.

As far as the 7800 range, sorry but that would be too much of a step down for me.

It blows away every other card on the market! Too bad RTW or M2TW isn't on that list, but when you look and see that every game and every synthetic tool they used to test it ranks the 8800 GTX at the top, you can see why I might want one. I'll just save my money and watch for the price to come down. Besides, MT2W won't really be finished and playable untill well after the expasion hits. I expect at least tweo patches after the expansion, followed by some unofficial user-made patches (similar to the RTW's fan-made BUG-FIXER package) and then some great mods like RTR and whatever-this-mod-is-calling-itself-this-month..

Anyone know of a RTW/M2TW video card performance benchmarking tool? And no, I don't mean FRAPS.
I mean a tool that runs the system through a programable set of in-game motions with programmable graphics options and complexity so that each time you run the test, the only thing different is the video card.

Someone could probably make it as a Mod.

ive just started a campaign as Dunland, and the orks you can recruit are so cool they look great, and the Uruk spears are awesome. great modding guys.

i have already killed off rohan, when i had them down to 1 city they agreed to be a protectorate. but after another clash with RK i decided that they had to go as their religion was affecting my settlements.

but now even Harad have turned on me..

but i guess i will just unleash my orc horde's upon them.

just so you know, on the foruth age website it says 12 minutes to prepare files to play (depending on computer speed)...guess how long it took for me?

The dos system window copying and moving of files took 3.5 hours on your machine???

Well, I have made some changes to improve its efficiency for 2.0 but I'm not sure how much it will help you

my computer speed is not that bad, there just seemed to be loads of stuff to copy

Test how long it takes to copy your data/bi folder to another folder you have made...the dos window should take about twice as long as that. Takes about 5 mins on my quite average PC. Bat file takes 12 mins.
