    Lol, Lusted, wasn't me before you ask. And don't worry I respect it's your mod. I just posted this suggestion here for healthy discussion with good modders. That is all.
    I know it wasn't you, and i don't mind the discussion at all, its turning into a pretty good one.

    It's just that something like this i would not put into my mod.

    Giving the ai a cash boost helps it build up and perform better. But i do not agree with adding in artificial handicaps for the player.

    No i don't buy your explanation. If the formula is punishing you for growth it makes sense. You want it to affect you, so its realistic, but not the AI because they can't handle it. So with expansion should come higher economic negative effects on the player. Its historical for large kingdoms to have economic troubles.

    You can do what you want with LTC, i dont use your mod anyways. But I hope somebody impliments this idea because I'm gonna wanna try it.

    Dr. Jambo, can you test it and let me know if it works well? I would like to couple this with one of the diplomacy mods (probably Grand Viz's work).

    The increased effects of corruption and devestation in my mod make the economic side of things harder, and the ai can hanlde it due to the cash script.

    Really? Well thats a good solution as well. Perhaps I should try your mod out then. As long as expansion is difficult. I want to play a game that focuses more on diplomacy but still offers challenge, much more challenge. Rather then vanilla which spams you with sieges, I hate that.

    Devastation works to a certain extent but increasing it is more likely to cripple a fledgling faction rather than the large economic powerhouse which is doing the conquering.

    Corruption is quite strange one, it appears and then it seems to gradually dissipate to nothing over time. Therefore, increasing it doesn't really have much lasting or noteworthy impact... Do you have other information or experiences on corruption?

    The point is Lusted, you could use a maintenance-like script and apply it to both AI and human because with the complementary AI money script it's not likely to damage the AI too greatly anyway. Plus, it would then not be discriminating against the human.

    Regardless, how do you find your mid-late games play out? Don't you find your faction becoming an unstoppable economic monster?

    Do you realise how longs its been since i've finished a campaign? I keep on modding things so i never finish one. Im hoping to finish one as Venice soon.

    I know exactly what you mean! Active modding somehow kills the gaming experience. :hmmm:On the other side, if I wouldn't do the modding, I would be playing Europa Universalis 3 now.

    I´m with Lusted here. Might aswell just gift your cash away to your allies. The challenge should come through other means other than just making your work less productive while the AI does litealy not know what to do with his surpluses.

    As it is now, even with human mental power, the best way to get to good production centers is just to assault your AI neighbor.
    The best time in game for me with the current LTC is the mid early game where you are not strong enough and are chronically behind in the R&D department.

    I have been changing from mod to mod so much that I have not even had the chance to see or fight the Aztecs since I bought the game

    If You have to much money start total war against all factions.I'm just holding ground against France ,Turks,Egypt,Moors soon against Portugal-Spain and Byzantium-Venice (I can see how they grouping armies).You will neeed a lots of armies only to hold ground (no money surplus) because You will fight about 5-6 battles per turn .
    When strong enemy attack You with 4-5 full stack armies your surplus will be spend in 10 turns

    Longer You wait harder punch is ( about 50 turns) . In 20th turn I send little expedition on Jerusalem (2 crusading armies).In 30th turn jihad called upon me.After that (i wait for 50 turns in northen region no war with anybody) whole world struck on me (12 full armies only to defend - 8 in France [I play English campain] 4 in Jerusalem ,Allepo etc + 4 full garnison .And NOW is challenging. France pimp up armies I'm crashing them but I can't go to offensive because Portugal-Spain with 4 full armies are in my teritory.Danes marauding sea with 2 full armies on board.I't is hard to reinforce losses when I have only one fortress.I can't developt corectly right after first stone wall I can build only upgrades of walls (pop grow bugged ?).Turks + Egypt attack me non-stop.Like I said LTC World Total War 2

    And you enjoy this sort of gaming? I play a very restrained style with my own role playing mised into it. Fighting non stop is not my cup of tea.

    You can't avoid it (only if you have alliances with everybody).Bribing is not my thing.
