How to edit unit stats

I'm stuck trying to tweak unit stats for the XL Mod:

Objective: Decreasing unit support cost for Golden Horde units (GoldenHordeHorseArchers + GoldenHordeHeavyCavalry + GoldenHordeWarriors)

Problem: After editing support costs for above mentioned units (in CRUSADERS_UNIT_PROD11 + MTW_XL_EARLY_UNIT_PROD11 + MTW_XL_HIGH_UNIT_PROD11 + MTW_XL_LATE_UNIT_PROD11) the game won't start anymore. What am I missing out on? Is there another file that needs to be edited?

Found the problem myself: instead of using Notepad++, I used the standard Windows editor, which probably caused some format error.
