Default Textures Problems Warhammer 3 mod

Hi, I'm doing a mod, I tried to edit part of the river troll's base_color.dds texture, but when the game loads my texture, the parts that I haven't recolored (those with the original colors) appear with a faded color as well as the recolored parts. I have edited textures, models, materials but nothing, it keeps displaying the textures incorrectly. I attach some photos.
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix the problem.
    Thank you.

What tool are you using to edit and save your textures?

Let me know your solution then, because I couldn't make it work well with Gimp as well.
What I do to get correct textures
    - Add a new layer in gimp, below my texture, paint it black, delete everything and merge. This is to avoir having white outline on transparent parts (like hair)
    - Export to dds, using BC3/DXT5

Then open the dds in Photoshop (Im using cs6).
    Duplicate the layer
    paint the layer black
select everything in this layer and delete
    merge the layer
save using Interlworks dds plugin, using the option BC3 8bpp (sRGB, DX10).

It works, but it's a bit tedious, what is your solution?
