300 Spartans (attempt to re-create the battle of Thermopylae)

By the way, i couldnt include the fact that the immortals were coming behind me, since the AI isnt programmed to do so

Also sorry for having the banners and UI thingy included, i tried, but i didnt manage to remove it

Anyone know about a program that let you move the camera in a beautiful way? :O

Maybe post a update with maybe some more units at the same time? and maybe different banners u know(i am a bit tired of lighting banner for the greek city states)

It's a good idea, though Dimebagho "knows best"

The video wasnt that great, wasnt really exciting to watch a bunch of exhausted spartans slaughter sparabara and companions.
To make a great video, you need some sort of video editing tool (Camtasia, or Windows Moviemaker).
First though you need to fight the custom battle, then save the replay, turn on the camera mode (remove the blue lines though) and then start shooting the film.
Later as you see fit you can cut scenes, add transitions and even music. It would be great if you turned off the music in rtw and record only the fighting sounds (would be great to hear a CHAAAAARGE!! with some excellent music *cough* LoTR *cough*).
This is pretty much it, try to have as many closeup slaughters as you can and it should be great.

One thing though, if you enable battle editor, you can have a 300 man spartan unit, then you could probably make some sort of a passage where to put the spartans.

Don't start shooting it again before I finish the hot gates for the xgm map

I have some excellent reference maps and probably going to get some images from the upcoming '300'.

Have you watched the documentary on YouTube called ''Decisive Battles-Thermopylae''? I watched it, and in that movie, it looks exactly like it should be

We'll have to see the movie, from the ads it looks soooo Hollywood that its not funny. The best historical war films are usually the work of Ridely Scott (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven).

1. I love ancient history.
2. Love Greek warfare.
3. Because.
4. They should be honoured, because if it worent for 'em, the world would have been different.

And why are you comparing my video with movies like Kingdom of Heaven? I think its great, but you cant compare Hollywood movies with frag movies....
It's not suppose to be ''funny'' either.

I know what you mean, the rhinos and elephants could have been left out, but this is a action movie, not a war movie..... so it does not have to be so damn realistic

I got to say good and bad things about Hollywood:
1. They have stunning effects
2. Great scripts
3. Great actors
