ähm-a question: i mentioned it already: is it clever, that 2 or 3 persons design the faction symbols, or should one person (alletun sorry guys) make them...they would be a unified whole ( hope thats the right expression )

As for the "style" personally I think a unified basic model with a different "look" for the different cultures would be really cool. Making them look like round shields (which were pretty universal for this location and period I think) is a good call, but looking different for Norse, Slavic, Baltic, Continental Catholic, Celtic, Roman etc.

i was thinking that too about the style. perhaps round shield for viking and other northerne factions, and then other shapes of shields for other cultures. dunno if that would be historic accurate though.

i think it's a really good idea to make special shields for different cultures!!!

More shields: HRE, Roman Empire and Wessex
the colors are pretty vivid, but that is to make the shield recognizable when they get a lot smaller in the game. Roman Empires symbol is of a bad quality, but luckily it's not that visible when it gets smaller.

What I'm thinking is that since the 2 emblems are soooo different is we use both if possible...

1. Tsar Stefan Dusan IV's will be for unit faction selection, and in the campaign for faction information.
2. Alluten's will be for diplomacy.

Reasons...
Tsar stefan dusan's looks very 'official' and elabourate and very fancy so it will be for more 'political' things. Alluten's look very militaristic and rugged. Perfect for diplomacy and other manners.

Is that alright?

I;d have to say I'm against that, A) I tihnk it would be really hard to program, and B) Having multiple symbols for each factions will complicate things too much, and people won't feel unified in their use of any given faction...

Do we have a list of what the unmade factions symbols are goign to contain/what their colours will be? If not, doing that would give the artists a quick reference, and help we plebs know what to expect and what to suggest...
