Modding legions pack

Alright, since my last post generated no help ill try something different. Who here would like XGM to revert to Modding Legions v1.3 (the one without blue shields, cool Archer auxillia, and Armored legionary cav.)



here is an image of the units. I do not mean to be arrogant, thinking that whatever we decide will happen, i just wanna see how many people like what i do...

I will look into it, thanks for the heads up, though I quite dislike Urban Cohort being an uber unit, because as the name points - it's more of a Militia like city/police kind of cohort.

The cavalry shouldn't be that much elite either, IMO only factions to the east should have very heavy / catapracht styled cavalry. Romans used a good mix of light cavalry and heavy infantry against the enemy, charging with their light cavalry, then quickly retreat behind the shields. Later heavy cavalry should be replaced with some sort of mercenary cavalry, that is of some barbarian origin, definently not the best kind of cavalry - something that should be reserved for the eastern factions. Though some strong medium cavalry could exist...

Greek cavalry should only have 2 major units, the Prodromoi and Allied Cavalry, later once Larissa has been conquered, there could be AOR Thessalian Cavalry and from Pella the Hetairoi (companion cavalry).
They should only be available with certain types of governments though.

To my regret, no. I PM'd Godzilla about it, but he said that the project was so old that he only had v1.4b, this version still contains a "better" version of the auxillias in my opinion. The rest of the skins are better in v1.5, the legions and Praetorians for example look better in 1.5. Don't get me wrong, i say keep the XGM roster, just replace the skins of some of the current units. I am currently using this Archer Auxillia and Auxillia infantry since i cannot stand the blue shields of the 1.5v

I still have the last request that anyone here, who can do it, will u place a legionary cohort on a horse and call it legionary cav? I have no idea how to, and i would really love to have such a unit in, despite them not having it. If everyone else is against it, then ill live, but i would really love it!

EDIT: Unfortunately Amalric, you have uploaded the 1.3b version, which is not what i was looking for, that is already available for download, it looks like no one has the version i was looking for. Thank you very much for the effort though!

I´m lazy i don´t rename the uploadfile. It´s 1.2b and 1.3 optional. Sorry for the guys who want to load 1.3b, but the file is in twcenter as cimera has told us.

I've made a new version of the Legionary Cavalry that looks like the current Praetorian Cavalry without the plume and cape.

DAMN DAMN DAMN! the version you uploaded is again the same, o well it was very nice of you to try! And Dime, can u send me that unit plz? And would it be a good idea to add leg guards to the Legionary first cohorts, to distinguish them visually from the regular ones.

Hi Cimera, the pack was the 1.2b (14.92 MB), pack 1.3b (15,3 MB). Have you tried the different scins there was the default legionary cav with javelin and the optional with spear. The optional is in 1.2b and 1.3b try it out. It was the same version, in the first time i loaded 1.3b and the second- and thirdtime it was 1.2b.
