Modding Staff Medals Competition

Esteemed fellow TWCenterers,

it's with great pleasure that we announce the opening of the Modding Staff Medals Competition!

A bit of background: the idea to create a new Staff department dedicated to Modding (support, service, directions, etc) was originally brought up in the Curia, re-proposed and later turned into something concrete and eventually implemented with the help and guidance of the Hexagon Council (in particular of the mighty Gigantus). Since the end of 2018 the Modding Staff is taking care of helping anyone who might be in troubles or at need with regards of modding and using mods in general; if you want more info about their job see here and here

However, just like with any other Staff Department, those working on the Modding Staff will be rewarded with dedicated Medals, which up to today have not been created yet: that's why we have decided to run this new Competition in order to have the new medals as well as to give the opportunity to the membership as a whole to show their artsy skill and earn some reputation in the process.


THE RULES

- Every submission must have the complete set of 6 medals (bronze, silver, gold, emerald, ruby, amethyst) and each of them must be in small (27x35 pixels) and large (75x100 pixels) size, so 12 images in total are to be submitted (1 small and 1 large "bronze", 1 small and 1 large "silver", etc).
- The submitted images must be in PNG format
- In the past, all the Staff medals only had one single model for all the ranks, but a different color related to the material they were "made of"; recently we have started to use medals with different (yet related) models; for references and inspiration please see the Awards page. It is up to the submitter to decide whether to submit one single model or multiple models, as long as the material and color progression is respected.
- The medals should hint or refer to the Modding Staff activity; things like hammers, gears, wrenches are a good starting point, in any case let your fantasy run wild...

SUBMISSION PERIOD

- the submissions will close April the 22nd; after that the submission period will be over we will take care of putting up the voting poll, so that the membership can vote for their preferred choice.
Due to the issues with the forum update I have extended the submission period up to the 29th of April
PRIZES

- Every submitter will receive 15 rep points as a reward for their efforts and work
- The winning submission will receive extra 50 rep points once the Competition will be over
