Did you run ss_setup.exe as 'run as adminstrator'?

    What o/s do you have?

    Disk or steam install?

Having the exact same problem.... logo for a second then CTD with no error messege.

I reinstalled the whole game... patched to 1.5... installed SS6.3... installed SS6.4... installed meloo's fix... ran setup no problem... all in that order.
I then made sure the game was on admin mode... and tried changing the compatability to windows 7, 8, vista and XP (im running on a new computer with windows 10)… nothing worked.
Im sure Im doing probably 1 thing wrong, but I cant figure out what it is.

    Any suggestions?
Oh yea this is a disc (not steam) install.

Can you confirm that you've installed the kingdoms expansion - SS6.4 only runs once you have kingdoms installed.

Which disk version are you using ? It looks like you're using the original M2TW edition ?

Windows 10 messed up the safe disk copy protection - see here : https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...1#post14687065

Yes, I installed Kingdoms as well. It is the original M2TW edition (bought the game when it was only a few days old

Im looking into this safe disc solution you mentioned... ill let you know if it works.

    Ok, got it working

Had to use the change disc to steam route... but working wahahaha
    Thanks for the help.
