Thread: Economic Numbers do not add up

Default Economic Numbers do not add up

I can't figure out how wealth and tax percentages are calculated. For example tax situation in my current game(difficulty level Very hard):

    2 region province.
Global tax modifiers: Oligarchy +10%; Beloved influence +1%; Tax level minimal (I assume this is 0% each increase being 20% max tax rate being 80%).
Province tax modifiers: Civil administration +23%; Inspired Populace +8%
Regional tax modifiers: Tax potential region I: +20%; Tax potential region II + 3%

    - No tax rate affecting building in the province
    - No enemy or my troops in the province

Despite all these huge positive tax modifiers my Provincial tax rate is only 3%. Am I missing something?

The same situation with wealth percentages. They never add up.

PS:How to use buildings which "Allows for the improvement of the Intellectual character trait and helps prevent it from decreasing." ?

Empire Maintenance is separately deducted. It cannot be part of wealth and tax modifiers.

The way effects work in this game are pretty weird. Some may be a flat bonus to the %, while other may be a % multiplier.

Is there any way to know which one is what?

PS. I am more than happy to create economic manual/guide for your mod, provided that you give me information how the mechanics exactly work.

Oops just skimmed through your original post, and probably by looking at the tables.

There is a number of tables that contain effects used in the game and not just one. Buildings have their own effect tables as do traits, skills, etc.

effect_bundles_to_effects_junctions is, however, the one that you may want to take a look at in the first place.

Where exactly those tables are located and can I open them with Pack File Manager?

Use the global search function on RPFM, though most of those will be in effect bundles

Try also this video tutorial. It will help you to understand how the effects work in the game.
