Default Surrendered Hoplites recruitable after your victory

I am playing as Macedon. After a couple victories against Hellenic League armies, I get a message saying that the some hoplites surrendered and are now recruitable at a city of my choosing, but I did could not ID these specific units. Did I need to do something specific, or should they just be there?

Has anyone else had this? Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks alot!

AFAIK it's a unit of mercenary hoplites that you can recruit somewhere. I'm guessing the way that it's handled is that they're from a special unit pool.

The turn after the message appears, they should be available in Demetrias, unless you've installed a Hellenic Admin in Pella, in which case they'll be there.

They're Mercenary Hoplites. There's a similar mechanic for getting Mercenary Phalangites as well.
It began on seven hills - a historical house-ruled Romani AAR
    Heirs to Lysimachos - a semi-historical Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
Philetairos' Gift - a second attempt at an Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR
