Ser Gwayne Hightower (+3 Survival, +2 Duel, +1 Battle) requests to join the host as well, unless duty binds him to the capital.
Eventually the banners of House Hightower would be seen at some point from the distance, as Lord Ormund himself lead his host towards the outskirts of the capital. A messenger was send to inform the King and his host swiftly about the arrival of Hightower and his bannermen's forces.

Hightower's forces
The Westerlands army camp stretches out across the field outside Kings Landing. Tents are pitched in long rows and banners flap resplendent in the wind. Near the center lies a large command tent. It made for quite a sight. Having been on march for weeks to reach the capital the men were taking the opportunity to relax and recover before they would be called upon to fight.

Army Composition
Under the Patronage of the venerable General Brewster
With the arrival of the Westerlands and the levies of the Hightowers, Aegon calls forth a council of his commanders and councilors. In the meantime, four parties of light cavalry are dispatched in four directions. One group heads north to the Riverland borders, another head south towards the Stormlands, a third heads for Massey's Hook, and the final moves towards Crackclaw Point. With the rumors of the Velaryon fleet having vanished, Rhaenyra could land at any location. And given the uncertain loyalties of the Riverlands and Stormlands, Aegon could never be too careful.
Once all had gathered, Aegon was upon a platform with Sunfyre behind him. The brilliant dragon ever so watchful of those around its rider. Blackfyre rested on his lap and Aegon's crown rested atop his head. Battle armor was adorned with the golden dragon, his personal sigil.
My Lords, we have gathered a great host together!
Aegon speaks up, looking at all present.
Over forty-thousand men have joined this cause and more will certainly follow. Yet, we know not where Rhaenyra is. The Velaryon fleet has vacated the Blackwater Bay, the Stormlands, the Reach, and the Riverlands remain still and quiet. It is uncertain of where we must go from here... I have sent scouts to go to the points of the Crownlands, head north to the Riverlands, and south to the Stormlands. We must find where she is and strike quickly!

Once the scouts had returned, the Royal Army decamps and marches north to Duskendale... however, much to the anger and rage of the King, the army had vanished. The likely directions being North into the Riverlands or East towards Crackclaw Point. Nonetheless, this frustrates the King deeply that he had missed the enemy by mere hours. In frustration, the King is heard whipping a servant within his tent, while more orders are issued forth.

Once a letter arrives at the capital, coming from Oldtown, which was send by Ser Hobert on the Queen's demand, Lord Ormund ordered a good portion of his own forces to return to Oldtown, realizing that they would still have enough men to defend King's Landing if they had to.
