Last Hearth, Seat of House Umber

Last Hearth has served as the seat of House Umber since the mythical Age of Heroes, when the house were petty kings. It is situated north of the Last River and south of the Gift. With the exception of the castles of the Night's Watch, it is the northernmost major castle in all of the Seven Kingdoms.

A fierce warrior honed by many skirmishes with wildling raiders, Lord Harlon loves the cry of clashing steel and the challenge of a strong opponent. As the most northern lord in all of the Seven Kingdoms, the Umber has very little interest in the goings-on south of the Neck, regarding all Southerners as weak, flowery summer children.

Bio: Beron is much like his father with the same thirst for battle and blood, and almost as tall. However, he has yet to be tempered by experience and is quick to anger. Among the people of the Last River, he is both respected and feared because of this. Beron has a lot more interest in the brewing war in the south, seeing it as a potential opportunity to earn wealth and glory.
