It is high noon when a pathetic column of men and women, no more than a dozen, arrive before the high walls of the Reach's greatest city. A limp banner bearing the castles of House Peake lead the party. Among their number is Myrielle, daughter of the Lord of Starpike. Her guards have been informed of their duty: to see that their lord's daughter makes it behind the safety of Oldtown.

They are gladly lead inside the walls of the city, before the Hightower guards would lead the host directly through the streets of Oldtown towards the Oldtower, where Ser Hobert Baratheon was welcoming the guests along with the sons of Lord Hightower. Martyn, the betrothed towards Myrielle was as well present, when the guests were welcomed and lead inside the safety of the Hightower.

One afternoon, a loud roar was heard coming towards the walls of Oldtown. Dreamfyre broke through the clouds, followed by two smaller dragons, as Helaena had led her children and sister-in-law, Lady Brienne Baratheon, to the safe haven of Oldtown. Once they were safely within the walls, the cavalry sent to escort them departs back north. The two smaller dragons, watched over by Dreamfyre, fly through the air as there were sights and scenes. Helaena, Brienne, and the King's offspring settle within Hightower.

Eventually Ser Hobert would approach the Queen in personal after a while, once she and her children have settled themselves within Oldtown.
"Your grace, as you know we are honored by your visit", he said humble, his breath kinda telling that he had drunk a little bit, "Yet I fear for the safety of you and your children, should the town come under siege. When we met the last times with the Tyrells, I heard that they reasoned our decision in joining with the King and his forces - yet I don't know where their loyalities lie and whether they can keep their word or whether Rhaenyra might force them against us. According to the last letter, Ser Otto sent me, there were rumors of Rhaenys, the Queen who never was, visiting Highgarden - if we can trust the words of the Rowan boy."
He made a brief pause, before looking out over one of the balconies, the bustling town below them.
"Our defences are at the moment spare", he replied worried, "We were never prepared for a massive war, to be quite honest. Lord Ormund assumed that we would besiege Dragonstone. Yet the declaration of the Riverlands towards both sides let us worry how much of an impact the Blacks will have on the Reach. We know for sure, that Peake will ally with us. And Ser Mace Rowan claims that he has sympathies with us while the rest of the family... we don't know for certain. And the rest though...
I will be honest, that we have just the minimum defences of the city upheld. We technically have the manpower to reinforce, but our men are all north. Shall I send word to our allies to assist us in the defence or should I plead Ormund to return with at least some of his men?"

While there would also be the matter of a resting place for Dreamfyre, as Oldtown held sadly no dragon pit, but he would safe that question up for later.

Helaena, a kind-hearted Queen and mother, was unsure of how to approach this question, presented by Ser Hobert. Military matters were not her strong point, after all, matters best left to the Lords who ruled lands and her brother-husband, Aegon, and his councilors. Her violet eyes look over at Maelor who was playing with a pearl ring, a ring granted to him by Viserys, his grandfather, shortly before his death. Jaehaerys and Jaehaera were looking over the balcony at Oldtown, having never seen the city before. The Queen looks back at Ser Hobert.

Perhaps... it would be best to recall some men back to Oldtown. I do not think it wise to plead with Lord Peake, least Oldtown seem weak.

Ser Hobert nodded, being glad, that she saw it the same way.
"I'm glad you're seeing it the same way as me, your majesty", he answered pleased, "A letter shall inform the capital at once that we will send enough men to strengthen the garrison of our proud ancient city. I highly doubt they will take King's Landing and only find out afterwards that you are here... yet, without a dragonpit and Dreamfyre having to stay somewhere in the area around, people will notice at some point. Thus, if Rhaenyra is really bold enough to attempt taking this city, she shall have to deal with our men at the walls first."

Ser Raphael Storm arrived feeling, very much like his mount, tired and thirsty. He rode hard to reach Oldtown. He wanted to arrive before much more developed in the war. He was sent as emissary to the Hightowers to secure a hand in marriage for a Baratheon daughter. Daeron Targaryen wed Brienne some time ago, but he still had 3 daughters to marry. A marriage with House Hightower seemed to have many advantages including, but not limited to the Hightowers army size and the reputation of their House. After making his needs known at the gate he allows himself to be lead to the presence of the highest ranking Hightower in the city. That is who he asked for at least. With his sword on his hip and his hand nestled on its hilt he tried not to get lost as they led him through the gates and through winding streets.

He is eventually lead forward into the Hightower, as the guards allowed him entrance, once he stated his request.
With most of the Hightowers absent, Ser Hobert Hightower greeted the visitor, even though he didn't knew who he was. Apparently some sort of knight, maybe even a sworn sword.
Curiously he eyed the visitor, allowing him to speak up with a gentle nod after some silence.
