Default Heart's Home, Seat of House Corbray

Heart's Home is a castle in the Vale of Arryn and is the seat of House Corbray, a vassal house holding fealty to House Arryn of the Eyrie. It is located on the northern shore where a glacial river flows into a narrow bay of the narrow sea. Upriver to the west is Strongsong, while directly north is a forest. Snakewood is located to the northeast along the bay, while the Eyrie is south across a mountain range. According to semi-canon sources, Heart's Home is within the southernmost river valley of the snakewood forest.

*Leowyn has three children: Qyle (9), Kalyra (6), and Gwayne (2)

Lord Benedict Corbrary is the present lord of Heart's Home, a holding within central Vale and North of the Eyrie. In ancient times, the Corbrays were an Andal family that conquered the Fingers and claimed the title, Lord of the Five Fingers, before later becoming King of the Five Fingers. One of the deadliest knights of the Seven Kingdoms, during the reign of Aegon I, was Ser Gawen Corbray, who served as master-at-arms for Maegor the Cruel. They are a well-known house within the Vale, as not only sworn lords of House Arryn, but also the wielders of Lady Forlorn, a Valyrian Steel sword that has a heart-shaped ruby in its pommel and has a smokey-grey blade.

Benedict was one of the many who swore allegiance to Rhaenyra when Viserys sought to make her his heir to the throne before Aegon was even before. As a gesture of his continued faith in her, Lord Corbray sent his able son, Corwyn, holder of Lady Forlorn, to serve her in Dragonstone as a sworn sword of her court. When news came of Aegon's usurpation, he hoped that the Vale, ruled by Rhaenyra's relative, would join her. Even if the Vale did not, Lord Corbray knew he would join her nonetheless.

    Corwyn Corbray
    Full Name: Corwyn Corbray
    Age: 27 (born 102 AC)
Marital Status: Perra Royce (born 111 AC), daughter of Ander Royce
    Children: N/A
Traits (6 points): +3 Personal Combat (+1 for Lady Forlorn), +2 Survival, +3 Charisma (+1 Charisma from Temperament)
    Temperament:
    - Idealistic: This person is a strong believer in higher ideals and the innate goodness of man. On the one hand, they tend to be inspiring and uplifting figures, on the other they can be taken advantage of by those who live well beneath their expectations. +1 Charisma, -1 to rout/assassination/escape rolls.

Corwyn Corbrary is the second son of Lord Benedict of Heart's Home. When he was younger, his father took note of his son's skill with a blade and knew he was destined to one day wield the sword, Lady Forlorn. When his second son was knighted, the ancestral sword would be granted to him as a boon, a sign of his father's favor. In 120 AC, Corwyn would join the court of Rhaenyra as a sworn sword, witnessing events that forever changed the future of the Lady of Dragonstone. He is a strong believer in Rhaenyra, knowing that she is the destined heir of Viserys and the Iron Throne. When Aegon usurped the throne, however, Corwyn flew into a rage over this blatant seizure of power. No matter what, he would fight Lady Rhaenyra's enemies and see her placed upon the Iron Throne.

Default Re: Heart's Home, Seat of House Corbray

An invitation is extended to Heart's Home from the Eyrie, carried on raven wings. The letter inquires after young Qyle, reminiscing about the sparring match that Corbray's young grandson and Lady Arryn's nephew had some moons past. With the tone of the letter becoming somewhat more serious, it cordially though firmly reminds the Corbrays of their oath to provide counsel to their liege lord if required, and that time has now come. The letter specifies that, although it is always a delight to meet Lord Benedict, a representative would do also.
