Age of Enlightment-An interactive History/RPG

Hi all, this is a new interactive history about the the years between 1480 to whenever. For those who do not know what an interactive is (I am sure there is many of you) then here is the basic ways of an Interactive History, many examples of this are over at the org.
Eg. My WW1 Interactive and Moteps Fantasy one
Basic Rules of An interactive History
1. There are 2 types of Interactives, An Multiplayer one (More then one Player) or a focused one (Based on one person/nation/etc/etc)
2.Multiplaer Ones- In these you can choose who you want to be, play as a nation (like this one) or make up a character (These are more often classed as RPGs)
In nation ones you choose a nation to play, then read the Start chapter, choose one of your options given, then post in. Eventually more chapters come up, you act like your leader in the thread, and sometimes even In0Game rivalries form(But dont worry, its fun, and ALL Fun)
3.Singleplayer ones are where you dont choose your chracter, a chapters written out, and people make decisions, no nations, based on one person. most people therefore choose Multiplay.

And that is the basic types of Interactives. And how to play. now here are my rules for this interactive


Rules of The Age of Enlightment
1.Choose a City State to play as
2.Read the opening chapter
3.Make your decisions, PM them to me
4. All declares of war, opening of trade routes, or that stuff, declare here
a) if you find that the thing you wish to do does not fit under that, PM me to ask, or just include it in your decisions and I will put it in the chapter
5.Any hiring of mecanires, requests or Negotiations, please include in decisons
a)But for diplomacy please PM the person you are negotating with

Opening Chapter

The year is 1480. There is new land on the horizon. People want riches, evryone wants riches! the cties are poor. War is raging like an overdone fire. And king and queens bicker among eachother. There ar e main powers coming through, main powers dieing. Guns have announced themsleves to the world, cannons could blast an hole through any type of castle. Muskets could make an hole through an type of armour. People are smarter, wiser. A new age is coming!

Spain was jus unified, when Isabella of Castile married Ferndined II of Aragon, forming Spain. England just finished the Hundred Years War, and War of the Roses, also unfiying the country. venice is now dieing. The italian City States are threating each other, and ones from the outside have taken advantage. The ottoman Empire just conquered the great byzantine Empire, and is currently siegeing Belgrade.
Denmark has been unnoticed by most, but the HRE is now turning an eye to it, as it is extra land they could use...

Spain
1. You recently took control of Castile, but the land sof Leon still stands in the way of a unified Spain.
A) Send your main army to attack Leon
B)Send your side army to attack Leon
C) Enter into Diplomatc Negotations

2. The Navy has had a bad year, and the seas are plagued with pirates, some of the Ship dealers are goign poor, and are demanding you to stop taxes.

A)Send in an Force to control the Crowd (Violently)
B)Same as A but calmly.
C)lower the taxes, but lose a LOT of money
D)Say you will stop the taxes if they supply you with ships

England
1. the War of the Roses over, and the House of lancaster in control, the Scots in the north are an danger, as are the irish, you control pockets of land in ireland, but none in Scotland.
A)Attack Scotland with Army of your choise (Main Army or Second Army)
B) Attack ireland
C)Attack neither
D)Try and ally with one of them

2.France has recently had slight trouble in the way of peasents, and the men of Flanders have rebelled, saying they will serve the King oF England
A)Send an army to occupy Flanders
B)Say that Flanders is your land, if France attacks, there at War with England
C)ignore the Flanders peasents.

Portugal
1. With Spain the dominat power on the iberian penisula, and Leon strugling, as Castile has given in, maybe you could support Leon, secreatly?
A)Support Leon by sending troops and wares
B)Send wares
C)Attack Leon
D)ignore Them
E)Enter into Diplomatc Negotations

2.Pirates have been raiding your African Colonies, costing thousand s of dollars. No protection, maybe you could send back-up?
A)Send the Second Army to help

Venice
1. The Itlain States have been acting Strange, wa ris on the Horizon, with Florence? milan? Papal States?
A)Form up your armies for attack
B)Form your armies for defence
C)Set up defenses in all major cities


Ottoman Empire
1. With belgrade under siege, and Eastern Europe nearly all yours, along with the middl-East, should you give the final push?
A)Attack belgrade with yuor full strength
B)Same as A, but expand into Russia, india
C) Attack Africa from Egypt

2. the muskets have came, and an army leader ha suggested we form an group of Musketeers, ready to fight
A)Form the Musketeer group
