Thread: Definitive edition and renaming

    Default Definitive edition and renaming

Why did CA released a definitive(Game+DLCs) edition that does nothing but change the name of the game.
Also, why did they rename the game on steam from Napoleon Total War to Total War: Napoleon.
Empire and Med2 have been renamed too. Why is CA renaming its old titles?
Also, IMO, the new naming system...well sounds very very lame.

Rebranding. It's made to put the Total War trademark first and foremost. They dont really want to do anything with the old titles unfortunately, all the bugs and glitches will remain there forever. It's just a commercial move for when there's a sale. They did this right before the latest Steam sale so that the prices could float a little above the norm

Thank you for the answer, even though it is a sad thing to hear.
I don't think CA is the same it was when they made Rome TW. I think they seem almost shamed of the older titles and contantly try to latch on to the most visible trends.
