Some of these are going to be really hard though because I've never really gone into the political, RP, or hotseat parts of the forum. Worst case scenario: I'll just look at a set sample number of posts for each nominee and decide from there.

I moved the Polls to the archives, during today and tomorrow I will do my Hex magic to check the votes, to verify that no one missed to respect the rule of "maximum 2 votes per poll"; once everything will be checked and confirmed I'll post the results and give out the medals accordingly!

Don't be surprised when HEX members win all categories, even in where none are nominated...

Don't underestimate the Hex's wizardry! However, we don't need to do much, we have Gig who usually pillages the Awards

(I think we should rename the site into Total Gigantus Center).

However, jokes aside, it's not so easy as it looks to check the votes, because of multi-votes superior to two and because people usually send me PMs to discount their votes after they have voted.. worst part is that, due to technical reasons, it is not possible to manually delete any vote from a poll.. That's the reason why I was always very unsure if to allow the multi-vote system or not.

Regarding the mult-votes. Are you counting them manually? You can do it very simply using the method I used for the Picture Competitions (and which I assume Athelstan still uses).

Well, it's unfortunate that this adds a bit of work for you, but I for one like the "two votes" system. For most areas of the TWC one of two things is the case for me. Either 1) I am familiar with the subfora, and know just how deserving all the nominees are, or 2) I have only lightly perused the area and can only somewhat confidently cast a vote. In either case, having two votes is a nice thing, as it allows me to throw some love to those I really respect, as in the case of 1), or it allows me to not have to be as certain about my choice, as in the case of 2). I would keep it that.

I mean, I'm not the one doing this extra work, so of course I think you should keep it that way...

yes over all I like the multi-vote systems, because it also generates more possibilities for ties (and thus more deserving people will be awarded); last year we had various ties, judging on what I've checked so far I think we will have even more this year (spoilerrrrrrrrr
