    Default RIP Stan Lee

I remember the first time I saw Stan Lee in a film. It was that Kevin Smith movie Mallrats (1995) and he had a little cameo role playing himself giving advice about women and relationships to the main character of the film, Brodie (played by Jason Lee). I've always enjoyed Stan Lee's cameo roles in all the Marvel Comics flicks. The guy was a legend, a phenomenal artist and writer, the creator of most of the legendary superheroes we see in films today. RIP Stan Lee, you will be missed. Thankfully he lived a long and fruitful life.

Mallrats was the first Stan Lee cameo I saw too.
I'm genuinely heartbroken because Stan Lee and his work has been such a huge part of my life. I'd always hoped I would get to meet him.

I might get "Excelsior!" tattooed soon.

    Future CGI cameos?

Though with Infinity War, it did feel like an era was about to end.

    And it did.

There's at least a few movies already done recording.

    Legend doen't seem fitting.

95 is a seriously good innings though...

Reportedly, he wasn't enjoying his twilight years, subject to abuse and exploitation by his daughter and/or his business management, to the point that his blood was supposedly used to sign Marvel comics copies.

What has being happening in some social media is nothing short of disgusting imo. How come some people can be so soulless?

But then again it is social midia.

    May Stan rest in peace.

That's not really surprising to hear. SM is basically garbage. People can mouth off anything without getting smacked in the face. Pros (?) of interwebz i suppose.

Yet he was against race swapping Peter Parker. I wonder if it wasn't that, Social justice warriors haven indeed became insulting in the meantime.

Yep. Ironically its those so called Social justice warriors in social media that have been showing total lack of respect towards Stan lee, in the day of his passing.

The main downside of the internet is that it's been constantly delivering soapboxes to every entitled moron on this planet. Every brain-damaged idiot can make himself heard and seen across the internet. The world has become an internet meme.

I believe Stan Lee is more than a comic book icon, he's a pop culture icon who provided entertainment to many generations all over the world. The man had been in this business for almost 8 decades.

He was great at self promotion, ensuring a clear brand that the guys at Image barely reached at the best of times.
