Hey I did a forum search but didnt see anything about this bug so here goes-

I played a custom battle recently with the Byzantines just to goof around with siphonatores because they are so cool, and I didnt feel like starting a new campaign to use them. The problem is that when they fire, the sound effect is like archers shooting their bows, and you cant see the fire shoot out from their weapons, you can only see it when it hits an opposing unit. I recently installed the whole mod on my computer after having not played it since it was on my old computer, and I remember back in the day there being a fix for this but sadly cant find anything about it now.

Im using SS 6.4 with meneth's bugfix compilation if that helps. as a final note, im not experiencing any CTD from this issue (I saw a couple threads related to CTDs related to siphonatores). The only issue is the sound effect when they fire and the visual effect not happening until the fire hits the units. anyway if anyone knows what is up I would appreciate the help!
