Hey,
I'm having trouble getting TATW + MOS to work properly. I'm using Windows 10 and followed all the installation instructions step by step. The game and mod itself runs fine, the only problem I have is the lag/stuttering in battles. It doesn't matter how many units are on the map, it's always stuttering after some seconds. The screen freezes and so does the audio. On the campaign map the game runs fine.
Things I already did:
- Disable UAC
- Disable AntiVirus
- Disable Daytime Savings (Date and time has been set manually)
- Set everything to the lowest settings ingame
- Set process priority to high in the task manager
- Run the game (kingdoms.exe and medieval.exe) in compatibility mode for Windows 7
- Run the game (kingdoms.exe and medieval.exe) in compatibility mode for Windows 10
- Run the game as administrator
- Closed every other application
- Uninstalled default audio drivers and installed Realtek drivers
Here are my pc specs:
- ASRock H87 Pro4 Intel H87 Mainboard
- Intel Core i5 4670K (4x3,4Ghz)
- MSI N770 TF Twin Frozr (GeForce GTX 770)
- 2x 4GB DDR3 RAM (PC1333 Team Elite)
The game itself is installed on a Crucial C300 128GB SSD. I installed it to C:/MTW (Since its known to make problems when installed on /Program files etc.)
Before I updated to Windows 10 I had Windows 7 installed and TA:TW + MOS worked flawlessly without lags/stutters in battles.
Now I'm out of ideas... Any suggestions?
