Assigning a Different Secondary Weapon

Greetings,

Does anyone know how to assign a different secondary weapon to the soldiers in a unit? I would like to create a new soldier using the Janissary Archer model (which has a bow + sword), and change that to bow + halberd. The halberd model obviously exists so its just a matter of assigning it in place of the sword I think.

I just remembered that the EB mod had an archer unit with a spear.

It can be easy if the if the figures and attachments in the models you are working with are completely separate, but they often aren't. Also, when you switch to new attachments, I don't think you can mix and match bows from one attachment set and halberds from another; both bows and halberds would have to come from the same attachment set, I believe. And then you will probably have to understand how to modify the way they new weapon is attached to the figure. I've done a few very simple weapon changes successfully myself, but usually I was unsuccessful for one of the above reasons. Anyway, for what you want to do, I do not think the tutorial you are referring to will be sufficient. I think you will also need to learn how to modify the attachment sets themselves, though I could be wrong. Good luck!

karaislam sent me through some new Turkish units and permission to use a whole lot more from his Anatolian mod so that should do it They are really good.
