Manual/guide?

There are guides for BGR and RC/RR, but is there a Stainless Steel manual/guide somewhere? I'd love to get more info on the game mechanics hidden beneath the MTWII interface.

For example I just noticed that if I press the question mark button on a unit's campaign map info-scroll, an option to "Appease or Punish" emerges. I had no idea this existed.
