Thread: Added chariot to lord - he turned into a mess.

    Default Added chariot to lord - he turned into a mess.

    Is there any idea what may cause this chaos mutation in the character when I added chariot to him? Somethign with animations I think, but tried switching animations in "land_units"tables" and it did not help.

    Apparently, switching "officer" field from "wh2_main_hef_ithilmar_chariot_horse_mage_high_officer" to "wh2_main_hef_ithilmar_chariot_horse_noble_officer" fixes it (and I thought officer just defines the chariot driver).

    On the other hand, does this mean I cant use female mage chariot animations on a male character?

    From what I tried hu1b ( female elves ) and hu1d (male) don't have interchangeable animations.

    In mine example I wanted prince to use dreadlord female animations in combat, but couldn't do it , though spearman. swordmaster , Tyrion, dark elf swordsman animation worked on him.

    Have you tried Teclis animation for mage chariot?

    Tecilis only have steed option for mount, unfortunately. I managed to make Malekith one to work, but that is not really suitable. Tomb Kings have several "sword & staff" animations but they got jumbled up just like female mage's one.

    Thanks for the info, now that explains why brettonia cavalry animations do not work as well.

    Yep it is limited in many ways, though you might check this mod

    It seems that it uses 3 animations for chariot , for archers and halberd. (also it uses culture to battle animations table to enable empire using chariot)

    Nice, thank you! I managed to make it work, just wondering if someone knows how to remove charioteer, like on Malekith's chariot.

    You can make character invisible I believe by deleting his part's in Variant mashes definition text file ,though i'm not sure.
