It has nothing to do with needing to modify the games files.

It's the stupid level system that started being integrated in Unity.

Like I can understand not being high enough leveled that if I sneak up on someone they might be able to deflect an attack. But if I shoot someone in the face with an arrow or drop on them from 30 feet up and stab them in the neck, they should die. Plain and simple.

You you enjoy freedom of movement I recommend Unity and Syndicate over Odyssey and Origins. Unity and Syndicate had by far the best freerunning of any AC game.

Well, i'm tinkering with the option to use the current 50 % Sale on Steam.

Question to the ones who play ACO and like it:

What edition should i get (base, Deluxe, Gold, Ultimate), experiences?
And which DLCs are a must-have?

In my opinion the base game is sufficiently on its own.

    Thanks.

P.S. Decided to not dive into the ACO world now. Have a plethora of great games unplayed/non-installed in the library.

I personally ended up buying the season pass on sale. Figured I had to eventually so when it popped up for 15 bucks off I decided why not.

Even if I end up hating the DLCs that price for ACIII and ACL remastered is good enough.

I'll play AC3 remastered when they pay me to do it

Did they do anything with ACIII other than swap the grey filter with a gansta gold filter (bling bling templar )?

Yeah they are apparently re-doing the UI and fixing known issues.

So it's a bit more than a straight port.

(No, Maisie...fixing the issues would NOT mean removing Connor )

Why? I remember the UI being fine. IV had a much worse ui iirc.

I still clasify Connor as a bug.

I didn't mind the ui either. Maybe I'm mistaken

I like Assassin's creed origins more than Odyssey but Odyssey DLC's much more better.

Similar situation here. Although I did finish the main campaign. I couldn't believe it it was over, On the other hand there are still plenty of content in the game, but I have a hard time convincing myself to load the game, I got at least 150 games sitting in my steam library and there are plenty of those that were insta-buy but never installed and later forgotten.
