Bad news. I still have desertion. how do i know if the file is in read_only?

bad news. desertion is still rampant. How do i know if my file is read_only?

Right click on the file, then select property, right below the window that will open you will see the read only box. Uncheck it if it is checked, then click on apply. If it's not the problem with your crusade disband, try playing with the <near_target_no_disband_distance float="4.0"/> line. If it mean what it say, setting the value to a huge number might work.

I am not sure what the max_disband_progress actually mean, if setting the value to zero doesn't work. It's been so long that I gave up on crusades for my modding, I am not experienced with these lines.

Edit: Many changes aren't save game compatible. For them to take effect you must start a new game, not test them on your saves.
